About

Gözde Karadana was born in Izmir, Turkey. Having dreamed of being a fashion designer from the age of four, she was excited to make her first steps into the fashion world at the age of sixteen, when she did work experience in the costume department of the mini film series “Holly wood Kaçakları”.

After completing her high school studies in Izmir, she moved to Stockholm and learned about the fashion industry in Sweden while preparing fashion editorials for the Turkish language magazine “Prizma”. In 2002, she worked in the costume department for the joint Turkish/Swedish film production “Kärleken Triumph – Aşkın Gücü”.

On her return to Turkey, Gözde Karadana was awarded a full scholarship by the Fine Arts Faculty of Izmir University of Economics to study for a BA in Fashion Design. She completed her studies there in 2009, graduating among the highest scoring as an Honours student. She immediately created her own line and began showing her work at various fairs and exhibitions.

Under the name “Gözde Karadana Couture & Bridal” she opened her own premises in 2011. With their distinctive hand finishing and special details, her “Evening gown Collection”, “Bridalwear Collection”, and bespoke “Individual” service provide a complete and unique design profile for her clients.
